ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage boomerang-shaped table lamp from the 1950s. When we originally purchased it, it was sold to us as being manufactured by Majestic, but we're not 100% certain of that ourselves. This lamp is unusual in that the wedge-shaped base is a heavy gold-tone metal (see photos), which adds a considerable weight to the lamp. The lamp has three light sockets - one main, and two smaller decorative sockets. The on/off switch is located on the wedge-shaped base, and it allows for three-way functionality - one twist lights up the main socket, a second twist lights up the two smaller sockets, and a final third twist lights them all up together. There are no labels or tags present. This lamp currently does not have a shade - it will be left up to the purchaser to provide their own.
MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx 20.25" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket) x 10.5" wide (base) x 5" deep (base). The distance to the lower of the two decorative light socket is approx. 7" high, and the upper decorative light socket is approx. 13" high.
CONDITION: The lamp is in good, all-original vintage condition. The brass shows some patination with age, and some areas of faint tarnishing (see photos) - nothing that is objectionable in our opinion. There are no dents, dings, rust, repairs, etc. The wooden accent pieces are in great shape - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, scratches, etc. The electrical wiring is in good shape and appears to be original to the lamp - no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. This lamp is being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. All sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
