Vintage 50s MCM FAIP Lamp Plaster Dancers Black White Mid Century Modern Lighting Atomic Era

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage plaster table lamp that was manufactured by FAIP (Fine Arts In Plastic). Circa '60s. Theme: Abstract Dancers. Colors: Black, White. Materials: Plaster. The figures on the left side (white side) of the lamp are inscribed into the plaster, while the figures on the right side (black side) of the lamp are raised from the surface - it's an interesting contrast. The lamp is signed FAIP on the back of the base at the bottom next to where the electrical cord opening is located. There is also no shade present - it'll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shade.

MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 23.25" tall ( measured from the bottom of the base to the light socket). The plaster base measures approx. 19" tall x 10" wide. The base at the very bottom of the lamp is approx. 6" deep x 9" wide. This lamp is solid - it has some weight to it (13.10 lbs) - it would considerably lighter if it was chalkware.

CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in very good condition - there are no cracks, breaks, chips, etc. There are a few areas on the base on the back side in the black area where it looks like there are some some old touch-ups to the paint, but they aren't bad at all (see photos). Also on the back side in the white area towards the top there is a superficial scratch / scuff mark (again, please see photo) - it can easily be touched up, if desired. It's on the back side so it isn't obviously seen unless you turn the lamp around. Again, it's not terrible. The electrical wiring is in decent condition, and appears to be original to the lamp - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
