ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a well done, and quite eerie, oil painting done on hard artist board depicting two clowns in a room full of books - one is tearing pages from one book, while another is with scissors in hand cutting up another. We're not sure of the exact date of this painting, but we'd definitely put it in the post-war category - probably done at some time around the '50s. Colors: Multi-color. The painting does not appear to be signed insofar as we've been able to detect, and it is unframed.
MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 23.75" tall x 22" wide.
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. There is some wear to the corners of the artist board (see photos) - it isn't major, and it can certainly be concealed if you frame the painting. There are a few small spots of scattered paint loss, and a very thin, faint scratch mark between the two clowns (again, please see photos). This item is being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
