Vintage MCM 1950s Atomic Era Lamp Metal Fiberglass Mid Century Modern Lighting

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage atomic era table lamp, complete with its original textured fiberglass shade. Circa '50s. The lamp base is metal (brass), and the design element is a series of half circle shapes that start out larger and get progressively small as they go inward. Each ends in a little atomic ball. The bottom of the brass base is designed with a teal material to give it a little extra zing! The fiberglass shade is textured - it has a pebbly appearance to it (see photos). The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket. We are uncertain as to the manufacturer of this great lamp - there are no labels or tags present.

MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 28.75" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial) x 15." wide (bottom diameter of shade) x 15.5" deep (bottom diameter of shade). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 19". The curvy brass metal section of the lamp measures approx. 9" tall x 6" wide. The textured fiberglass shade measures approx. 11" tall x 13" wide (top diameter) x 15.5" wide (bottom diameter). The round base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 5.75 in diameter. The brass finial at the top of the lamp measures approx. 3" tall x 1.75" wide.

CONDITION: The lamp is in very good condition for its age with no major issue to report - it displays very nicely. There is light wear that is consistent with age and handling... a tiny amount of tarnishing on the brass base. It could use a gentle, light cleaning - we just left it as it was acquired. The shade is free from rips, holes, tears, stains, burns, etc. All of the lacing appears to be intact, and it looks to be original to the shade. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
