ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super nice vintage swing arm floor lamp. Circa '50s. The lamp has two accent pieces that are made of a ceramic material; they are both beige in color with a slightly darker beige and white paint splatter application on their surfaces. The surfaces are also slightly textured. The pieces are separated by an hourglass-shaped brass rod (see photos). The lamp features a swing-arm that allows the positioning of the shade to be adjusted as desired. The lamp comes with a milk glass diffuser shade. There is a standard on/off rotary knob switch located at the socket for functionality. We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no labels or tags present.
MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 56.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the milk glass diffuser shade) x 13" wide. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 51" high. The swing arm measures approx 10" long. The two ceramic accent pieces each measure approx. 4.5" tall x 4.5" wide. The brass component that separates the two ceramic accent pieces is approx. 8.5" long. The lower accent piece is approx. 26" from the ground, and the upper is approx. 38" from the ground. The round black metal base at the very bottom of the lamp is approx. 11" in diameter.
CONDITION: The lamp is in very good condition. The ceramic accents are free from damage - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The brass and metal components show some patination from age. They are in nice shape - no dents, dings, bends, breaks, repairs, etc. The round black metal base shows some light spots, but nothing bad (see photos); it is free from dents, dings, breaks, repairs, etc. - just some light wear that is consistent with age and use. Lastly, the electrical wiring appears to be in good shape, but it isn't too terribly long - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The plug tip was gone, so a new one has been added. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly encourage having the items inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use, just to err on the side of caution. It's a wonderful lamp that displays well!
