ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a carved vintage sculptural wood table lamp that was manufactured by HEIFETZ. Circa '50s. Materials: Wood. Style: Abstract. The lamp has an on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket, which also serves as a light bulb dimmer. The lamp is signed HEIFETZ on the back of the base at the bottom next to where the electrical cord emerges from the base. There is also no shade present - it'll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shade.
MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 25.5" tall ( measured from the bottom of the base to the finial). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 17" high. The sculptural carved wooden head measures approx. 11.5" tall x 5" wide (at the widest point at the top). The base at the very bottom of the lamp is approx. 6.75" wide x 4.75" deep x 2.25" tall.
CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in very good condition - there are no cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There are a few areas on the base where the wood stain has lightening in appearance, in particular above the mouth and along the top surface of the head (see photos). There are also two very small nicks to the wood on the side of the face (again, see photos). They are really small and somewhat negligible, but they are being mentioned for accuracy. Aside from that, the lamp is in very nice shape and displays very well. The electrical wiring is in decent condition, and appears to be original to the lamp - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The outside of the electrical cord could benefit from a cleaning. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. This lamp is being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
