Vintage MCM 1950s Metal Tripod Lamp Atomic Era Mid Century Lighting Adjustable Shade

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage atomic-era tripod lamp. Circa 50s. Materials: Metal (aluminum shade, iron base). Colors: Brown. The conical shade is adjustable at its attachment point. There is a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the top surface of the shade. We are uncertain as to the maker as there are no labels or tags present.

MEASUREMENTS: With the shade pointed in the downward direction, the lamps stands approx. 15" tall x 10" wide x 5" deep. The shade measures approx. 6" long x 4.75" in diameter (measured across the opening). The distance between the front and back legs is approx. 7.5", while that of the back two legs from each other is approx. 5".

CONDITION: While not perfect, the lamp is in decent condition. There is some minor paint loss to the shade and base. The opening of the shade is slightly out-of-round. Being that the metal is malleable, it can be finessed more into shape. It didn't bother us, so we just left it as it was acquired. The electrical wiring is in good shape and appears to be original to the lamp - no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
