Vintage Laurel MCM Brass Cone Shade Floor Lamp Adjustable Mid Century Modern Atomic Era

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage adjustable triple metal cone shade floor lamp. Circa '50s / '60s. Color: Gold. The shades are set at variable heights, and they are able to adjust at their attachment points. They are each capped off at the top with a wooden accent handle (see photos). Each shade also has its own individual rotary knob switch for functionality, so you can control each one on its own. We're not 100% certain on the manufactured as there are no labels or tags present, but we believe it is Laurel Lamp Co.

MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 66.5" tall x 11" wide (with all three shades positioned in the downward position). The shades are attached at staggering heights - from the base at the bottom, the lowest shade rests at 45.5" high, the middle shade at 52" high, and the highest shade at 58.5" high. Each shade, measured from the opening to the top of the wooden handle accent piece, measures approx. 14.5" long x 5" wide (at the opening) x 4" deep (at the opening). The square metal base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 10" x 10".

CONDITION: The lamp is in good condition for its age, but does shows traces of light cosmetic wear. The brass components, including the shades, shows light superficial scratches and some discoloration. We have not attempted to clean or polish the lamp in any way, but we're guessing it should shine up nicely. The light scratches aren't too apparent unless you are actually looking for them. One of the shades has a small pea-sized raised area on the metal (see photo) - we're not certain what it is, or if it'll come off. The shade attachment hardware shows signs of discoloration / tarnishing from age. The wooden accent handles at the top of each shade look to be in nice shape - they could benefit from a gentle polishing, but do display fine as they are in their current state. The electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it's in fine shape - no frays, splits or exposed areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
