ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an original vintage ceiling light fixture that was manufactured by Virden. Circa '50s / '60s. Materials: Metal, Wire, Glass. Fiberglass. Colors: Black, Beige. The fixture takes four (4) standard sized light bulbs. The fiberglass strips are removable (see photo). The fixture still retains a decent portion of its original label inside the ceiling canopy (again, see photo).
MEASUREMENTS: The black metal wire cage measures approx. 15" wide x 15" deep x 2.75" high. The round brass ceiling canopy measures approx. 6.5" in diameter. The total height of the fixture is 5.25", which includes the drop from the canopy.
CONDITION: The fixture is in good, all-original condition. Light surface wear consistent with age and handling, but nothing alarming. The frosted glass ceiling plate has a shallow chip at the corner on one side of the glass (see photo) - it's not very noticeable, but being mentioned for accuracy. The round metal finial that holds the glass in place has color wear. The wiring is appears to be original, and should be inspected by a licensed electrician prior to long-term use. This fixture is in 100% working order. It's being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
