Vintage MCM Tripod Lamp Green Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic Era 50s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for a vintage atomic era tripod table lamp complete with its original fiberglass shade. Circa '50s. The tripod base is constructed of metal wire, and it is designed in such a way that the fiberglass shade rests nestled in the base with the bottom opening surrounding the light socket. The fiberglass shade is a green color, and it has a black painted design along the entire surface. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the base of the socket. We are uncertain as to the maker of the lamp - there are no labels or tags present. This is the only time we've ever come across one of these in our thirty-plus years of selling lighting, so we'll go out on limb and say it's somewhat rare in design.

MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 14" tall x 7.5" in diameter (measured across the top opening of the shade). The shade is approx. 10.5" tall. The distance between each of the three tripod legs is approx. 6.25".

CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in very good vintage condition. There are a few stray marks on the fiberglass where it came into contact with the metal base - we have not attempted to clean it in any manner. The framework is free from breaks, cracks, dents, rust, oxidation repairs, etc. There is scattered paint loss which comes with age. The fiberglass shade is in nice shape - no rips, holes, tears, repairs, etc. The lacing is intact. The electrical wiring is in nice shape, and the lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect before long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described". Please ask any questions that you may have prior to purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
