Vtg 50s 60s Geometric Mixed Media Painting Retro Art Wall Hanging Mid Century

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing mixed media wall hanging that dates back to the late 50s / early 60s. Done on artist board, the artwork is constructed from overlapping geometric strips cut from a thick paper stock, and then they appear to be painted over. The layers, textures, colors and shapes make this a truly unique piece of artwork. It is signed in the lower right-hand corner: W. Hibbert (see photos). Measurements: Including the frame, approx. 24" wide x 19.75" tall. The artwork alone measures 16" wide x 12" tall.

Condition: The artwork itself is in great shape with no notable problems to report. The frame and matting shows wear and we'd recommend replacing them. The matting shows signs of discoloration, dings, etc. The wood frame shows general wear to the wood that comes along with age and handling. We did not attempt to clean or polish it in any way. The item is being presented for sale in "as-is" condition, and as such, questions are encouraged. We will respond back to inquiries in a timely manner. The frame has a wire hanging mechanism affixed to the back for hanging. All in all, a wonderfully unique piece of artwork that will look great in any modern interior.
