RESERVED FOR LAURIE Incredible Vintage Cosmic 50s Atomic Mobile Barkcloth Curtain Material Mid Century Modern Googie Retro Fifties

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale one wide curtain panel of cosmic atomic barkcloth that dates back to the 1950s. It features a series of abstract shapes that appear to be dancing, and they have blackened shadows beneath them. The background color of the material is a blueish-gray (more blue to us than gray), and it has random gold highlights scattered throughout. The selvedge is unmarked insofar as we've been able to detect. The curtain material is lined on the reverse side (see photo).

Measurements: Approx. 60" in length top to bottom. There are eleven pinch pleats at the top. The width distance with the pleats measured across the top is approx. 58", and the width distance across the bottom is approx. 108" wide. This curtain appears to be put together with three separate panels, two of them measure approx. 44" wide, while the third measures approx. 20" wide.

Condition: Very good, all-original vintage condition with no major flaws to report. There is one small insignificant hole in the lower right hand corner (see photo). It doesn't really detract, but it is there. The colors appear to be good and uniform throughout. The material has been sitting tucked away in a storage bin for years, and as such, it has creases, wrinkles, and a gentle odor from being stored away. These issues can be remedied with a gentle laundering. All in all, great textile material here.... There's plenty of material here for curtains, pillows, or whatever your crafting needs require.
