Vintage 60s Fused Glass Ceramic Ashtray Mid Century Modern Baldelli Italy Bitossi Era Sixties
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage rectangular ceramic ashtray. Not sure of it's exact age, but if we were to guess, we'd say sometime in the '60s. It came from an estate that was loaded to the roof with other period pieces from that era. The ashtray is quite heavy and solid for its size. It's body has a glazed white appearance, and the inner floor of the ashtray has fused glass in reds, black and blue, and has a crackled / broken appearance. The ashtray is marked on the bottom: Baldelli Italy (see photos).
Measurements: Approx. 10.5" wide x 7.5" deep x 1.5" tall.
Condition: Not perfect. There are a few shallow chips along the rim (see photos), and one tight hairline crack in the glaze on the inner wall (again, see photo). The ashtray is structurally solid. Despite these imperfections, it can probably be restored to its former glory quite easily - we chose to leave it as it was acquired. We will gladly "reserve" or "hold" an item, but it will require a 25% non-refundable down payment. Balance due will be spread out over installment payments, one being due two weeks after the initial down-payment, and the final payment (which will include the listed shipping expenses) will be due two weeks after that.
