Item: For sale we are presenting a vintage two-tone chalkware table lamp with a linear design etched into the base - manufactured by Westwood Industries. Circa '60s. The lamp shade feels like it is made from a burlap type of material. We are uncertain as to whether or not is original to the lamp - this is how we purchased it. There is an old piece of felt covering the round base of the lamp. The lamp socket is Levitton, and there is an original Underwriter's Laboratories / Westwood Industries label still affixed to the socket (see photo).
Measurements: Approx. 38" from the bottom of the base to the top of the shade. The distance measures from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 22" high. The maximum width of the body of the lamp is approx. 8.5" wide. The bottom of the base has a diameter of approx. 5" round. The shade itself measures approx. 17" tall x 15" in diameter.
Condition: The lamp is in good vintage condition. There is one minor chip towards the back that looks like someone covered it over. At first we didn't notice it, but it is there (see photo). It is towards the back side of the lamp, so it isn't seen when viewed from the front. In our opinion, it doesn't really detract, but we are mentioning it for accuracy. Aside from that, there are no cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The shade shows some signs of gentle wear commensurate with age and handling. The hardware and electrical wiring look to be original to the lamp with no problems to report. The wiring is free from splits, exposed wires, frays, etc. It is not brittle. The lamp is in fully functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we strongly recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long term usage. Displays very well, and functions as it should. Being sold in the condition in which it was acquired - if you have questions, please ask them and we will respond back to you in timely manner. Being sold "as-is". Please examine all of the accompanying photographs as together with the item description, they constitute the item condition. If you still have questions after viewing everything, please ask and we'll be more than happy to respond back to you.
