Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a wonderful vintage abstract oil painting done on masonite artist board. Circa '50s. It is signed by the artist in the lower right hand corner of the painting: Hegarty (see photos). The painting has incredible texture and coloration throughout. To us the painting appears to be two figures in some form of embrace, but that can be left open to interpretation. All in all, a great piece of art that'll look wonderful in any modern interior setting!
Measurements: Approx. 12.25" wide x 42.5" tall.
Condition: Good vintage condition. There is some minor wear to the artist board in some of the corners (please refer to the accompanying photos). Also, while original, the frame is loose, and there is a shallow 6" chip to the bottom edge of the wooden frame (again, see photos). In our opinion, if you replace the frame altogether, it'll cover up the minor corner wear and you'll never even know it is there; it'll also securely stabilize the painting. It's a relatively easy and inexpensive fix. Otherwise, the painting displays very nicely. Being sold "as-is" - if you have any questions, please ask them and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
