Vintage 60s Aviation Plane Pilot Nautical Seascape Oil Painting Mid Century Wall Hanging Art Milton Marion St. Louis Artist

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage nautical / aviation / seascape oil painting done on artist board canvas. The painting was done in the late '70s by St. Louis artist, Milton Marion, and was recently purchased from his estate. Some of his works were signed, while others were not - this one is signed "Milmar", and is dated 5/78 in the lower right-hand corner of the painting (see photos). The painting shows a rich array of color and heavy texture throughout. It is framed in a thin edge metal silver frame.

Measurements: Including the wooden frame, approx. 28.25" tall x 22.25" wide.

Condition: Very good condition - shows only light traces of wear that are commensurate with age and handling - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The painting could use a gentle cleaning as it has a little bit of surface dust on it throughout. The reverse side of the artist. board shows some general wear and old moisture marks - they are on the back side, and do not translate through to the front whatsoever - we are solely mentioning for accuracy. There is a make-shift string draped across the back of the frame for hanging; it works, but we'd recommend replacing it with picture framing wire.
