Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage cheese serving platter with stainless steel knife. Manufactured by Georges Briard (see photos). Circa '60s / '70s. The platter is wood with a recessed rounded L-shape. The tile insert appears to be ceramic with a neat black, white and gold modernist building on it. The knife is attached to the board by a thin gold link chain.
Measurements: The tray measures approx. 8.5" x 8.5". The ceramic inset tile measures approx. 4.5" x 4.5". The knife is approx. 6.25" long.
Condition: Good vintage condition. The ceramic tile has some color wear in spots, and on some of the corners. It's not terribly noticeable, but we are mentioning it for accuracy. The wood has not been polished whatsoever, but we think it could certainly benefit by it. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, please ask them prior to purchase, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
