Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a beautiful framed vintage abstract modernist intaglio with plate mark (etching / aquatint) wall hanging. Artist: René Carcan (Belgium). The artwork is numbered (8/95) and titled " "La Fleur Paysage" or The Flower Landscape. (see photos). The artwork is set inside of a nice vintage frame, with professional matting bordering it all the way around. There is a wire hanging mechanism affixed to the back side of the frame for hanging purposes.
Measurements: Including the frame, approx. 33.5" wide x 30" tall. The artwork alone, excluding the border matting, measures approx. 21" wide x 24.5" tall.
Condition: The artwork appears to be in excellent shape - no rips, holes, tears, creases, bends, breaks, repairs, etc. The wooden frame show gentle signs of wear that are consistent with age and handling - overall it displays nicely. There are a few small rips in the brown paper lining along the back of the frame - this can very easily be replaced, or just left alone - it doesn't affect anything whatsoever. There is a wire hanging mechanism attached to the reverse side of the frame for hanging. It's ready for a new home!
