RESERVED FOR S.A.

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage ribbed plastic beehive tension or pole lamp. Circa '60s / '70s. Not sure of maker - possibly Rotaflex. The fixture contains three ribbed plastic shades set a varying heights - one is white (although it came out looking pink in the photos due to the lighting - it's not... it's white), one is a tangerine orange color, and one is a turquoise color. The fixture has three-way functionality - either one shade can be lit with one turn of the rotary knob, or the two opposite shades can be set to light up with a second turn of the knob, or lastly a third twist will light up all three sockets at once. All in all, a great tension lamp that will look fantastic in any modern interior setting!

Measurements: Stands approx. 94" tall. The shades are at varying heights. The distance from the ground surface to the top of the lowest level shade is approx. 58" high, the middle level shade approx. 67" high, and the uppermost shade appprox. 76" high. The distance from the ground to the rotary on/off switch is approx. 41" high. Each of the three shades measures approx. 11" tall x 7.5" wide (at its widest point) x 7.5" deep (at its deepest point).

Condition: Overall, given its age, we'd say this tension lamp is in good condition. It does have some minor cosmetic flaws the we will mention here. First off, the grass components show signs of tarnishing / discoloration. We have not done anything in an attempt to clean or polish the fixture, which we feel pretty sure once eventually done, will help these areas shine up nicely. The other two components of the vertical base, both above and below the brass area that connects with the shades, shows signs of discoloration and some color loss. There also appears to the remnants of an old label / tag on the lower column - no wording or anything is visible - should probably be removed with a good cleaning. Again, we have not done anything to try to clean it up in any way. It's totally presentable as it is, but perhaps a fresh coat of paint will help it out as well. There do not appear to be any dents, dings, rust, repairs, etc. The very top portion of the vertical rod is completely removable. The spring mechanism which is housed inside the middle brass component appears to have a wooden clothes pin attached to the top of the spring. We're not 100% certain why it is there - that's how we acquired the fixture. Our guess is to prevent the spring from shifting from the top of the opening. It doesn't appear to affect anything, and it is on the inside of the cylinder - we are just mentioning it to be accurate. The shades appear to be in very good condition - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The round brass plated cups that hold the shades also appear to be in good condition as well. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and it is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly caution having a licensed professional inspect the fixture prior to long-term use just to be safe. This fixture is being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we encourage them prior to purchase and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. All sales are final. Thanks for looking, and please be sure to see our others listings for more fun stuff presently for sale from our Etsy store! Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: The fixture will be disassembled for shipping - the vertical rod breaks down into three similar sized pieces, and the shades all detach.
