Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage brutalist "Settarah" table lamp. Circa late '60s. Designed by Bijan of California for the Laurel Lamp Company. Appears in the Laurel catalog that dates back to '68 - '70. The lamp still retains the original Underwriters / Laurel label at the light socket (see photos). The lamp is constructed of torch cut metal, and it rests atop a black metal cubed base. No shade present - that'll be left up to the purchaser to provide. No other marks present.
Measurements: In total, the lamp stands approx. 45" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial on the harp). The distance form the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 32" high. The black metal base measures approx. 5" wide x 5" deep x 6" tall. The sculptural component of the lamp measures approx. 24" tall x 15" wide (at its widest point) x 16" deep.
Condition: The lamp is in very good condition, and shows only the slightest signs of wear that are commensurate with age - no chips, cracks, breaks, bend, dings, repairs, scratches, etc. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and it is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we'd strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect it prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is, as-described". If you have any questions, we encourage them and will respond back to you in a timely manner.
