Sleek Vintage 50s 60s Solid Wood Brass Table Lamp Mid Century Modern Retro Lighting Atomic Era

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage solid wood and brass base table lamp. Circa '50s / '60s. The lamp has an on/off rotary switch located at the socket. We are uncertain as to the maker of the lamp. No shade present - that'll be left up to the purchaser to provide.

Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 31.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket). The wooden component of the lamp measures approx. 20.25" tall. The round brass base measures approx. 8" in diameter.

Condition: Given its age, we'd say the lamp is in good condition. The wooden component of the base is in very nice shape - no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. We have not attempted to clean it as we felt it displays really well as it is in its current state. The round brass base does show some signs of tarnishing / scratching / discoloration in spots - no dents or dings (see accompanying photos). We have not attempted to clean or polish the base in any way, so that might help to improve its appearance a bit (see photos). We have not tested the lamp, so we are uncertain as to whether or not it works. The only reason it hasn't been tested is that it requires a slightly larger than standard sized bulb, and we don't currently have an adaptor. Either way, the electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it appears to be in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. We strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the lamp prior to long-term use.
