Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an outlandishly unique pair of table lamps that were manufactured by Fuggiti Studios. Circa '60s. They are quite heavy and large! The bases are a plaster material set atop round brass bases at the very bottom. Just above the plastic body on each lamp are four (4) teak wood decorative accent pieces. The plaster bases are an ivory color. and they have raised baby blue tassel like decorative images around the body. The barrel shades on each of the lamps are quite large. They are a beige color, and each has the same matching baby blue tassel-like decorative features embroidered onto the shades (see photos). Each lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob that is located by the light socket. The bases are both signed copyright Fuggiti on the reverse side of the bases towards where the electrical cords emerge out the back (see photos). In the right home, these are pretty amazing, and will certainly make a splash in whatever room you place them in!
Measurements: With the shades attached, each lamp stands approx. 44" tall. With the shade attached, the distance from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial on the harp measures approx. 35.75" high. The distance to light sockets is approx. 26.5" high. Each of the wooden accent pieces atop the plaster bases are approx. 12" tall. The plaster portion of the base measures approx. 11" tall x 12" wide x 12" deep. The round brass base at the very bottom has a diameter of approx. 8.25" round (measured from the underside of the base). Each of the shades is approx. 20" tall x 16" in diameter (measured across the top) x 17" in diameter (measured across the bottom).
Condition: Both lamps are in great condition. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. to the plaster material. The wooden accents pieces are also in terrific shape - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The round brass bases are free from dents, dings, scratches, repairs, etc. They do show a gentle patina which is consistent with their age. The shades are in very good condition - one appears to be slightly darker than the other - we think this may be due to where they were placed in their previous home... the difference is fairly negligible, but we wanted to mention it for accuracy. Also, in the photos, we used two different style bulbs in each of the lamps, each emanating a different warmth in the light emitted (see photos). The electrical wiring on both lamps is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. It looks like one of the electrical cords may have been replaced at one point in time as they are different in color (again, see photos). Both lamps are in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting and electronics, we always strongly urge having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long term use. The lamps are being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence. Thanks for looking, and please be sure to check out our other active listings presently for sale on Etsy!
PLEASE NOTE: These lamps are very large, hence the shipping rate. The bases will each have to ship inside of their own boxes, while the shades can travel stacked within each other inside of a third, separate box. We would prefer local pick-up on these, but we are not objectionable to shipping as long as the buyer is comfortable with the shipping costs. Anything charged over on the shipping will be refunded once the items have been packaged, and the shipping costs properly calculated based on the final weight and dimension of the parcels. The rate listed in the listing is an estimate based on similar sized items that have sold in the past, so it could fluctuate in either direction. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
