Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a very nice pair of vintage mid century modern ceramic and walnut table lamps. Circa '60s. The bases are a textured off white ceramic. Between the ceramic and the light sockets is a walnut wood neck. The lamps both rest on a round, brass plated base. The on/off rotary knob switches used to turn the lamps on and off are located at the socket (see photos). We are uncertain as to the maker as there does not appear to be a signature that we've been able to detect. No shades either - those will be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. These are truly visually pleasing lamps that will look awesome in any modern interior setting!
Measurements: Each lamps stands approx. 30" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial that's attached to the harp). The distance to the light socket is approx. 23" high. The white ceramic portion of the base measures approx. 12" high x 6" wide x 6" deep. The round brass plated base at the bottom measures approx. 5.25" in diameter.
Condition: Both lamps are in very good condition - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There are a few small lightened scuff marks on the walnut necks (see photos) - they can very easily be polished up, if desired - we just choose to leave them in the condition in which they were acquired. The brass plated bases at the bottom are nice and shiny. They do show a little tarnishing around where the ceramic portions of the base come in contact with the metal base (see photos). It does not particularly detract, but we are mentioning it for accuracy. The lamps both appear to have been rewired at some point in time - the wiring is free from splits, frays, exposed and/or being brittle. Both lamps are in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting and electronics, we always strongly urge having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use just to be safe. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence, and thanks for looking.
